Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes
Alternative Title: Hana to Arisu
Genre: Comedy, Drama, School life, Friendship
Main Cast: Suzuki Anne, Aoi Yu and Tomohiro Kaku

Plot Summary: When two best friends develop a crush on the same boy, they develop a plan to trick him into dating them. (c)MDL

My comment: (S P O I L E R  A L E R T!) The beginning of the movie was really random showcase of the two leads quirky and stubborn friendship. The director was really good in picking angles and scene locations. I really love their beautiful cinematography. Then soon after, Hana and Alice spotted a 'cool' (and I must say handsome) guy at the train station. Hana, who I think, really fell for the guy, stalked him even at school. She even took pictures of him secretly! Then she decided to join the club where they guy was a member! (At first, it reminds me of Kotoko of ItaKiss haha!) One day after school, while stalking him (again) as he walk home while reading a book (he's a bookworm, I think), Hana saw him bump into a certain store's metallic cover (I dunno what's that called) which made him temporarily lose consciousness. Smartyass Hana used that chance to trick the guy to date him! She told him that he has an amnesia and that the guy told her that he loves her. Then, as odd as it may seem, they started dating. Hana even used Alice to support her understatement to guy telling him that Alice was his ex-girlfriend after the guy accidentally found out about the stolen pictures at Hana's computer. On the other hand, Alice was busy trying to be a model and actress after she was scouted by an agency called Paper Company. Then, several things occur. I thought they really did end their friendship because Hana's so concentrated with the guy and Alice' on her blossoming career. Then came the guy who approached Alice and ask her to tell her about 'their past'.

They frequently went on dates and the guy fell for him. Alice too. I was really moved when Alice told the guy (she called him 'Mark') "wo ai ni" which means I love you after she suggesting through her actions that she's giving him to Hana. I sympathize with Alice because she has to give up her feelings just because of her bestfriend.

As the ending approached, Hana, as guilty as she is, confessed to the guy the truth and the guy told her he knew it all along. I was so happy when Hana told him that if he loves Alice then she'll be happy for them. Aww, friendship! I love it so much.

Then Alice was finally accepted in a job offer (modelling for a mag) specifically after impressing the director (I guess?) in her beautiful ballet dance (though it was totally unrelated to the offer to her). The ending was only showed Hana and Alice, together again, still as bestfriends in spite the challenge they have to overcome.

Overall, it was a sweet and touchy movie about love and friendship. I also love the scenes about Alice and her father. It was sad and realistic. I am really rooting for Alice and Mark. I love them both though the guy's quite irritating sometimes. Haha.

If there's something negative about this film, I guess it's the length. I bet if they've edited it once again, they can still show the beauty of this film with lesser hours. Umm..also, they should add more songs. That will make this movie perfect! I encourage everyone to watch it whether you have a bestfriend or not!

My rating: 8/10

Genre: Rom-com
Main cast: Ayase Haruka, Fujiki Naohito and Kato Kazuki

Plot Summary: Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto. Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano. (c) Japan Times Online

My comment: I swear this is one of the cutest drama ever! Any woman would see her 'other' side through Hotaru. Let's admit it, sometimes, it's easier to laze around than to fall in love and when you're focusing too much in your work, the tendency is..you can forget what it feels like to love someone.

The approach of this drama is light and funny and the setting is from a pretty ordinary corporate world--any girl working in a company can easily relate to--the overwheming realism put in the drama made me love it all throughout. The love advices from Yamada-neechan and the cuteness of Hotaru were plus factors! Can't help but to blurt out her taglines like 'goro-goro' and 'dokyuun!'

The chemistry between Hotaru and Buchou was really good. I always find myself laughing when I see them teasing each other. Just love the two of them together!

I don't think anyone should miss this! A delightful watch this summer! Highly recommended! :)

My comment:
I've been eyeing Furukawa Yuki eversince I saw him in Koukou Debut so I was so glad when he has finally given a break!  I totally fell in love with his fluency in English!! (Not to mention he's really tall and cute..)

I'm not really familiar with Miki and Yamada but upon watching the 3 subbed episodes, I realized theiralso perfect for their roles. Yamada as Kin-chan with his Kansai-ben (just likein the anime) was priceless! Miki's portrayal of Kotoko is cute and funny! I totally love her facial reactions!

So far, I guess this will be the best and most faithful version of ITAZURA NA KISS.

My rating: 10/10 (so far~)
